Hubs (formerly Group Forums in the old site) have been added by members over the years on practically every Land Surveying Topic imaginable. If you are looking for specific advice, simply ask your question inside the appropriate hub forum. Every hub has followers who are interested in the topic. You'll have greater success asking for targeted feedback by asking to the right audience.
Hubs inside this module are for Land Surveyors who need help and support in some way. If you are looking for Equipment Support, help finding employment in surveying, need help with your website or any other type of support a surveyor might need, you'll find helpful communities inside this set of hubs.
Location Based Chapter Hubs can be found within the tabs in this module. First, find and select your region, then find the hub for your location and go there. Next, look for the Follow button and press it. You can now use the app to track discussions locally and share local stories, surveying experience, etc. After you follow your Location's Hub, start discussions in the forum, share photos from the field and meet other surveyors in the area. Use the mobile apps from the Surveyor App Suite to have quick access to your hubs from anywhere!
Note- most all countries and states already have a hub. Let us know if you do not find your location and we'll add it for you!.
As all land surveyors know, the term Hub and Tack is usually meant to describe the process of a Professional Land Surveyor in the field determining points by placing wooden hubs in the ground. Once the hub is driven in the ground, a metal tack is placed in the top of the hub to give a pinpoint location of a point.
For Land Surveyors United members, the term Hub has a double meaning. Our Surveyor Hubs are mini-communities inside the global network. Each hub is basically like a scaled down version of the community which can be controlled and administrated by designated members such as SURVambassadors, Vendors or Geoeducators.
Yes, you too can have your very own Hub for your classroom, Marketplace Shop, to keep your organization in contact or for anything which helps you meet your goals of bringing land surveyors together for education or networking. You can even stream Live events and podcasts to your audience through Land Surveyors United Hubs which YOU control.
Learn More about What You can Do with Hubs
We have several types of hubs inside the community. Every member of the community will have a unique combination of Hubs they follow based on Location, Type of Surveying they have experience with and Type of Equipment they use in the field. Follow only those hubs which reflect your interests and this will ensure you recieve messages and updates only from those hubs you follow.
By default, every hub has its own dedicated forum, photos, videos and blogs. Asking questions and posting relevant information inside the correct hub will ensure you recieve targeted advice and comments.
Those who control hubs can add various page types and features such as podcasting, events, articles, import social media profiles and import entire Youtube channels into hubs.
