HTML Code to Add to Profile
After creating your Resume and saving as PDF, we are now going to embed your resume into your "My Resume" section of your community Profile. Simply copy and paste the following code into your resume box on your profile, then upload your file and replace the REPLACETHIS part of the code with your file URL as I demonstrate in the video.
<iframe src="https://docs.google.com/viewer?url=REPLACETHIS&embedded=true" frameborder="0" height="500px" width="100%"></iframe>
HOW TO VIDEO:
It may sound too simple, but the truth is Land Surveyors are hired based on experience and expertise. By chiming into discussions, sharing well described photos and videos (or even entire articles) of your experience, you are attracting positive attention to your profile. If you are looking for a Job in Land Surveying, showing recruiters and employers that you know what you are doing is a sure way to get some attraction. After embedding your resume into your profile, contribute your expertise to the community and let it be known that you are looking for job opportunities.
You may have a separate profile on the Surveying Jobs Board and that little profile can do a lot for your Job Search. But did you know that you can also Post Yourself to the Jobs Board as Seeking Employment? It's true. Here is what you want to do for a strategy to Reverse the Surveying Jobs Search.
- Make sure your profile on the Jobs Board has a link to your Land Surveyors United Profile in it.
- Click the Post Job/CV button and Choose Seeking Employment as the category. Use your post to link back to your Land Surveyors United profile where recruiters can find your resume embedded.
- As you sift through available surveying jobs, simply make a few posts in the jobs board sharing those jobs links you are not personally interested in but could be potential opportunities for your fellow surveyors. This will draw attention to your profile and thus, your experience.
- Be sure to let us know when you find a job by switching your Land Surveyors United Profile from Seeking Employment to Professional Land Surveyor!
