good questions and you answered your own question, it varies from place to place. Here in Texas as long as you are in responsible charge that is all that is required.
    • Dear Deward,
My question is how to give eye witness of a perticular survey in any leagal matter? An assistant can give evidence on our behalf?

I think in a legal point of view. When you sign it off saying you did it or oversaw it, the assumption is that you have reviewed and supervised the work. Evidence of traverses run and boundaries found can easily be shown and measured by anybody. But the analysis of the land titles and evidences on the ground, that's when your professionalism and experience comes in.Ā
