Hey guys,
at my university I've to write an essay about the use of microwave interferometry for displacement monitoring.
Has anyone of you any experience using microwave interferometry? Were you doing displacement monitoring while using microwave interferometry? Please let me know what you've experienced and if you can recommend it!
Thanks a lot guys!
Greetings from Stuttgart, Germany

how's the essay coming? sorry no one has been much help..
Sent it in two weeks ago and my professor is judging or evaluating it right now.
It's a very special topic but also very interesting. There's one big company, IDS Georadar (https://idsgeoradar.com/), that sells those instruments and the were bought by Hexagon 2 years ago I think. Because it's so special was hard t get information about the system how their instruments work, especially how they compare different epochs.
I wanted to present different application areas but I could only find university studies about those instruments. That's why i used the case studies of IDS Georadar (https://idsgeoradar.com/applications/case-studies/interferometric-r...) for my essay. One of the most impressive studies was about a glacier drift in Switzerland. (https://www.geopraevent.ch/?lang=en)
I'm looking forward to use one of those instruments in the future.
I'd love to share my essay here but it's all in German, probably not that helpful for this huge English speaking community.
Thanks for your reply anyways :)
