  Hello
  
  The R10 stores GPS observations in a .T02 format.
  
  There are 2 ways of downloading this file:
  
  1. From the access software navigate to the GPS menu, select data transfer and from here you should be able to download files from the R10 to the TSC3 over bluetooth. I have found this method a bit temperamental.
  
  2. If you have the USB cable that came with the R10, plug the R10 directly into your PC. The R10 will mount like any mass storage device and you can pull the .T02 file directly from the R10 to the PC. This is my preferred method.

  I recommend the Trimble conversion utiity. It may be found at http://www.trimble.com/support_trl.aspx?Nav=Collection-40773&pt...
  This will convert T02 and DAT and other Trimble formats to RINEX. Your desktop software can or should be able to use RINEX.
  IF you have Trimble Busines Center, simply import the T02 file directly.

  I don't believe there are any .dat files on the R10. The .T02 is the data file. You can get a Convert to Rinex utility program from Trimble. I believe it is free on the Trimble website. The Rinex files can be used for processing either on your own or through OPUS
