Land Surveyor

The attached list is one I have compiled while preparing a presentation I am giving for the Connecticut Association of Land Surveyors on November 1st.

The presentation is titled  "World Coordinates and Property Surveying".

My personal feeling is that it has become rather ludicrous...I have not even listed many of the Acronyms and Abbreviations  that are out there.

    I forgot to add this:

Using GPS to determine SPC in the SPCS cannot use an Eo and/or No to convert to ITRF. The AOD, DOP, HDOP, HDOP-AT, WGS, etc. must be considered. To obtain accurate elevations, you must consider VPL, VUL, VDOP, VDOP-AT, VDatum, NGSDEM99, NAVD88, NAVD29, etc.

Additionally the relationship of the SPCS to VERTCON, SLD29, NSDI, NAD27, NAD83, ITRF, etc. needs to be known.

Even if you go to the NGS because you used CORS in the CONUS, the NGS cannot use OPUS unless you provide the GZD,
