The National Society of Professional Surveyors announced the results of voting for 2013 NSPS officers and directors.
2012 President-Elect Lamar Evers (Florida) will accede as the 2013 NSPS president, and 2012 vice president Patrick Smith (Texas) will accede as the 2013 president-elect. John Fenn (Michigan) will continue in his role as NSPS secretary-treasurer in 2013.
In area director election results, Stephen Gould (Maine) will serve a second term on the NSPS board of directors representing Area 1 (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Isle and Quebec), and Chris King (Mississippi) will begin his first full term representing Area 4 (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico). He recently served as Area 4 director, fulfilling the unexpired term of the former area director.
The National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) is an individual membership society of professional surveyors, academicians, students and survey technicians trained or interested in the profession of surveying and mapping. NSPS strives to establish and further common interests, objectives and political effort that would help bind the surveying profession into a unified body in the United States.
