Where are you surveying?

National Survey DayĀ  programmes is being organised like in teh past on 9-10 April 2016, in Hyderabad. Ā National Survey DayĀ  is celebrated every year throughout India to commemorate the measurement of the first Baseline of Great Trigonometric Survey (GTS) on 10th April 1802 near Chennai, Tamilnadu.Ā  Gemap Society (GEMS) & GIS India have been part of this every year.

As committed professionals I feel we have an obligatory responsibility to do something constructive on this occasion. We seek you continued cooperation.

This year we are planning to highlight the importance of Geospatial Technology for society and role of Surveying in this. The following are planned :

  2. Survey Quiz with finals and prizes on 10 April 2016
  3. Release of Special issue of GIS IndiaĀ 
  4. FelicitatingĀ  outstanding Surveying professionalsĀ Ā 
  5. Exhibition/Demos of surveying instruments

All Community Hubs inside the community have their own forum for asking specific questions to other surveyors, by location, equipment type, etc.
