  • Most surveyors are more familiar with four corners survey, topo survey but I believe the most technical aspect of field surveying is in construction survey.
    Brian what type of equipment have you been using in pegging out curves during horizontal alignment of road construction?
  • I have the privilege of doing lots of topo, construction and boundary surveys for both private and public sectors. Honest, accurate and clear notes are always extremely important. We must remember that we are paid to be liable and when a boundary dispute or an as-built survey that shows errors occurs, in court it all comes down to a surveyor's field notes. Hand drawn/ written information from someone on the ground when the survey or construction services were performed. So accurate and honest notes I think are paramount
