I have a 3-4 year old Lasercraft Contour XLRic Laser Rangfinder. Under the Equip tab and the peripherals, it is listed as one of the devices. I am not able to get the data collector (DC) to connect  to it though. There are setting on the XLR for different devices such as Sokkia and Trimble, or the standard LCR for the output format. You can also set a specific baud rate and so forth for the comm setting.

Nothing I have tried has worked.

I also Bluetooth paired the DC with the XLR manually but still no joy.

Does anyone have any experience with this arrangement? With what the output format should be and the comm setting?

Thanks.

    would the manual help?

    • Thanks, but I looked through the manual first thing. I even contacted the manufacturer that took over the product from Lasercraft. The Carlson Manual is also of no help.

Both manuals are fairly generic thought the Contour one does a good job of explaining what the different setup/comm options are for. Though it only has detail for hooking up to Trimble.

The Carlson Manual has basic steps but even at that it does not even show the correct peripherals screen. I sent a help request to Carlson, but, seemingly as usual, have not received any word back.
