I know a lot of Surveyors world wide, some personally and some via email and phone, I have found out over the years a lot of my colleagues are or were married to someone in the medical field.

Β Β Β Β This is not a new phenomena for me either.Β Not that I am married to a nurse (well my wife has two sisters that are nurses and that's as close as I get), butΒ MANY of my peers ARE married to nurses.Β One Land Surveyor who helped mentor me once said "always marry a nurse".Β A simple, yet, confusing statement it was for me at the time.Β I don't understand this 'connection" between two apparently very different professions.Β
Β Β Β Β I am guessing that perhaps there is something common in the subconscious or unconscious minds.Β A thread of archetypical commonality, of course, must be the answer, right?Β Or, since they say that when it comes to love and war, that opposites attract?Β
Β Β Β Β Having to choose between the two, I would estimate that one profession complements the other in the sense that each one's knowledge broadens the mind of the other.Β The common thread idea may also have a role, however, since both are continuously learning and educating themselves by mandate or by the curiosity of personal and professional improvement, continuously helping other people,Β and also being among a group of professionals thatΒ must meet a standard of practice.Β
Β Β Any opinions on this analysis?
