As a victim of the economy I find myself looking for a new career. Many years ago, I did a ton of station and offset surveys for the telephone company. I gradually worked myself into the design aspect with underground facilities. Never went to school for any type of engineering but to this day I'm sorry I left the field.

Would anyone know where to find surveying schools on Long Island (NY)? Tried poking around the internet and found many engineering programs but NOT ONE specific to surveying.

Thanks in advance!!

Chuck

have you checked out this blog post about surveying education?
  • Hello,
I am currently pursuing a degree in Land Surveying at East TN State University. I actually moved here to go to school and earn a full Bachelors, but you can look into and start by taking some of the Distance Learning classes that are offered. I know we have several students who live in other states but take classes online. here is a link, but of course I would get in contact with someone at the school and get the details. http://online.etsu.edu/
