Leica SR530 RTK using Siemens M20 (in GFU6 casing) GSM Modeme

We had just acquired a couple units of used Siemens M20 GSM Modems in GFU6 casing. These are fitted directly on port1 of the Leica SR530 units. Set everything up as per the standard instructions in the manual. The sim cards were shown to be 'ínitialised' and the respective phone numbers for each one are defined etc. The problem we have however, is the rover unit does not seem to be dialing the base number, when is pressed, it shows and a second later says ..

If anyone uses Siemens M20 modem or similar for Leica SR530 RTK system, can you please share your setup and tell us what we are missing in getting the units to communicate?
