How to use Forums
Our forums on Land Surveyors United are here to be used as much for finding help with problems in the field as the are for you to express your opinions on anything that has to do with land surveying in general. Feel free to share anything that is on your mind, as long as it isn't meant to damage another member's reputation. Please keep it clean and help insure that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of being part of a community that grows together.
We are committed to allowing freedom of expression for all of our members, and that includes maintaining a safe space for people with opposing views to express themselves. We get posts from all over the country and even the globe, so needless to say, people come with different viewpoints on lad surveying practices and processes. We see this diversity and variety as a real strength-- dialogue and debate are an integral part of the educational process, as well as an important tool in exploring different sides of complex issues.

Community Hubs inside the community have their own forum for asking specific questions to other surveyors, by location, equipment type, etc.

Hello, this is my first post on the forum, hope i did everything right...
I also watched the starnet videos and it seems to be a very user friendly, simple to use adjustment software.
There is also a free java based adjustment software to find on sourceforge, called "Java Graticule 3D"
http://javagraticule3d.sourceforge.net/
The gui of the software is available in german and englisch.
There are some tutorials and a wiki.
Help can be found in the forum of the author.

I use starnet and recommend it. Its is quite simple to use and able to compute both angle and bearing methods and is very rigorous in its adjustments.
Thanks Mr. Jansen Loi. I just watched it in the youtube. Its quite simple to use. User friendly software. But may I know where can we purchase this software? Or can we download a free for this? Thanks
They offer free trials online but I think it is limited to 10 stations for adjustments only. You can check out microsurvey.com for it. There are different variants of it for different usage type.
brief me on the use of this software? like i use trimble in my every day surveys how imperative and quicker is it ?
Thanks Mr. Nor Islam but what I mean is the software that can I possibly use in the office.
If you are using Topcon GPT-7500 total station you can use the Least square adjustment for the actual against design coordinates.
