We are having a problem with a robotic total station.
It appears that the point stored is not actually where the prism is at but at a location whose position varies from the true location. Sometimes the shot taken on the curb appears 0.5 feet into the roadway. Other times the location appears behind the curb. We have had this occur with two different robots, ( Focus30 and a Trimble S5). We were using the same data collector so that is one area that may be where the problem exists.
Has anyone had a problem with a data collector "lagging" behind where a shot is actually taken?
