I don't know how it ranks with the others as the one I have (D'Zign) is the only one I have experience with. The HP 50 is a scientific calculator made for folks that work with higher math. It takes some getting use to. It is harder to use than the HP 41 due to a more sophisticated & more complicated operating system but if you can navigate a HP 48, I would think a 50 will work about the same. If I am not mistaken, the HP 50 is just an upgraded HP 48. My memory is a little fuzzy on the evolution of the HP calculators. Wasn't the 48 followed by the 49 & then the 50? Maybe some of the other programs are more user friendly. What aggravates me is if you are not in the right "mode" doing ordinary survey math, you will get a math expression instead of a number, ie: answer. I used my 41 until it died then went to the 50. It does work directly with degrees minutes & seconds without the need to convert back & forth to decimal equivalents.
