Hi traversing question

Hi everyone. Just a quick question:

When doing a traverse with a total station on 1 set of legs and prisms on tribrachs on the other 2 sets of legs, when moving the total station to the tribrachs the prism have been on i have to level the total station slightly. Does this happen to other people as all my equipment just been caliberated. Does this affect the quality of the data?

Also when using a total station what benefit is it shooting both faces in free stationing ?

Many thanks for any help

IF THE LEVELLING NEEDED IS LITTLE THIS MUST BE OF NO PROPLEM.

THIS MAY BE FROM A LOT OF REASONS LIKE THE SHRINGAGE OF THE LEGS OF THE TRIPOD DUE TO THE CHANGE OF TEMPERATURE DURING THE DAY

THEORYTICALLY YOU MUST NOT NEED TO LEVEL AS YOU LIVE THE TRIBASH ON THE TRIPODS.

ANYWAY YOU MAY HAVE A CONCLUSION IF WILL ADD AN ERROR TO YOUR MEASUREMENTS (WHICH I DO NOT THINK) CHECKING THE STANDART ERRORS FOUND WITH THE EXPECTED FROM THE INSTRUMENT USED.
