hello guys, im new in vertical projects
could somebody help me, how will i transfer my
control points at the 10th or 20th floor from the ground..a single building project.

Hi, are you setting out as the building goes up or surveying an existing building? If setting out then ideally you should have had boxes made in each floor as it went up, what I mean is before the floor is cast there would be a small box set in the rebar about 200mm square directly above your control on the ground floor. You then just plumb down through the hole with a vertical plummet or just a line plumb and do the same with the other end of your baseline and hey presto you have your control one floor up, you just continue with that floor by floor and remember it's best to put the control along design corridors so when internal blockwork begins you can still access a decent baseline.

Assuming you haven't done that or it's to late to start then you'll have to offset a baseline outside the building far enough away to be able to traverse up, I wouldn't want to do this anymore than five floors up though as you'll start loosing accuracy. Are there other high rise building adjacent? If so you could possibly traverse in retro targets higher up on those buildings and the resection yourself to those when your up on the higher floors....just thinking aloud on that one...Ā Ā This is quite a specialist task so sorry for the brief explanation.
