Where are you surveying?

Not a Surveyor

Good afternoon everyone

I work for a transportation company. I would like to create grade diagrams (eg side-view tophographic maps) for certain sections of our network.

Is there any way of automating this process? As you can see on the attached example, I require route distance to be indicated on the X axis with grades (ie gradients) on the Y-axis.Ā 

Ideally, I would simply switch on a GPS/elevation system that would automatically plot this information as I moved along the route.

Any and all suggestions owuld be immensely ajppreciated.

    As I understand from your question. All this can be don on Civil 3D, profiles and process points from profiles. Civil 3D will make your life easy in surveying.
