Got an old manual or equipment quick start guide laying around on your hard drive? Chances are someone on Land Surveyors United could really find that information useful tomorrow or next week. I'm going to show you how to share it with the network in less than one minute.

How To Embed Any Document Type into Land Surveyors United
This requires no knowledge of HTML and can be accomplished in less than 30 seconds
This trick will be enormously useful for all of you surveyors out there who have PDF documents and Powerpoint docs on your hard drive that might be helpful to other surveyors. Sharing helpful documents has never been so easy and I'm going to show you why and how.
1)Add a new blog post (right click and open in new tab to continue following tutorial)
2)Simply click on the icon that looks like a white document in the txt editor toolbar
3)Browse for the document that you want to share
4) Upload it to the blog post and write something helpful about it.
5)Save and watch your document turn into magic as it opens on top of the page for hassle free reading.

Example: What_is_Land_Surveyors_United.pdf

What kinds of files can I embed?

Pretty much any kind of document, image, or text file. To be specific:

  • Documents: Word (DOC/DOCX), Excel (XLS/XLSX), PowerPoint (PPT/PPTX), WPD, ODT, ODP, ODS, PDF
  • Images: GIF, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, BMP, PSD
  • Vector Graphics: API, EPS, PS
  • Text: TXT, RTF, CSV
