Share Your Survey Experience

Enjoy, explore and contribute to our community....a living library of land surveying which is not controlled by 3rd party interests- it is controlled by you, the surveyor. No one else in the world aside from our community members catalogs changes in the surveying industry. No one else collects, curates and showcases the importance of land surveyors to society for future generations to learn from and to promote public awareness of this importance. It takes just a few moments per week to curate a rock solid legacy in surveying but every minute you spend sharing your experience will breathe ten years of life into the profession.

  • Sure like to take you up on that cabin.
  • I am a huge supporter.
  • Lots of construction, roads and remote airports. Not airports like you are used to. These are usually 1/2 mile strip of gravel with a atco trailer as the terminal. Then there is the Native Alotments (C-14s). You seem to be very knowledgalbe about GPS. I worked for a company called GPS Inc. here and what a joke. Oh they had a chopper, but 1992 Trimble equipment, if we had more than 12 satelites it would shut down. Did not work well in the trees. I have used the R8 with the Ranger, but never got to down load it and deal with the data transfer to AutoCadd. If I lived closer to Anchorage I would take a class, but its 60 miles of deadly dark icy highway at -25.
  • Yes, I get to see alot of cool stuff and people. We have a guest cabin on our property, it has running water and flush toilet. You and your family are welcome to come and visit. June or July are the best times, good salmon fishing and it doesn't get dark. Lots of work up here too.
