2025 will be the Year of the Futurist. We will harness the power of our community to introduce positive and long lasting change into the profession. We will remove infighting and improve communication, bridge the education gaps and traverse our age and experiential differences in new ways. This is my vision.

You may be wondering where I have been. Let's just say that I've worked behind the scenes for over 11 months to create an entire new dynamic suite of Surveying Tools, Guides and Walkthroughs for New Surveyors, Virtual Surveying Training Simulators, Continuing Education Course Writing Tools, Virtual Classrooms for Course Delivery, PLS Exam Prep Tools, Interview Simulators, GeoLocated Resume Building Tools, Pathways to Career Advancement and more.

As you will begin to see today, I've been on a serious preparation mission for the Future of our community. For the better part of a year I took a hard look at what is currently out there to put the power to change surveying in the hands of surveyors and basically developed working models (version 1s) for everything that I could not find. These tools are 1000% collaborative and will improve over time with member feedback. I want to make it clear that these are YOUR tools, not mine. Or better yet, these are OUR tools. Every tool has a feedback form for telling me how you would like to see any particular tool improved. When your suggestions are integrated in the next version, you'll get credit for your suggestions in our change log. To access all of these tools, you simply need to be a Futurist Member inside the community to unlock access to the Surveyor Tooladex. Becoming a Futurist helps us sustain the community financially and future proof our community and preserve our collaborative knowledgebase for years to come. Futurists also are provided custom tools and templates for writing courses from your field experience. Through our new partnership with the NSPS, you can submit your course and earn PDH credits for developing courses not only for your state but for all 50 states. Futurists can earn a second income by simply writing courses which breathe new life into the profession. If you are an experienced land surveyor, you could realistically write 3 courses per year using the new tools provided by L.E.A.R.N (Land Surveying Educational Advancement Resource Network). In 2025, we will elevate the profession together. The public will become aware of the importance of land surveyors when we work as a United front to educate them while inspiring the next generation.
