Not a Typo! I am giving away a FREE land surveyor website to the LSU member who posts the best land surveying field trick to the discussion forum within the next 7 days. The member with the most useful and highest rated field trick will receive a custom Land Surveyors Website, branded to match your company and search engine ready. On July 6th the trick with the most views, comments and shares will take the prize.

What Qualifies as a Trick?
I once saw a surveyor plum a prism rod using a doorway. Another time, I saw a rod-man sharpen his bushaxe using a pair of scissors. These types of examples are what we are going for. Try to keep in mind that the trick should be useful, innovative and somewhat like a tip you would normally give only to someone you are working with in the field. Some ideas for possible entries:
  • Trick for carrying surveying equipment long distances for field work
  • How to stay warm on cold days working in the snow
  • Communicating between instruments and data collectors
  • Tricks for saving time on the jobsite
  • Tricks for staying safe around snakes or other monsters
  • Tricks involving equipment maintenance or repair
  • the sky is the limit!

What Do You Need to Do To Win?
Come up with a secret trick that few other surveyors know about. Take a series of photos from your camera phone or camera and lay it out in steps OR shoot a short video on how to do it. Write at least two short paragraphs describing how to do it and why it is useful. Entries must have an Interesting Title, the images and description mentioned above and proper subject tags including state or region which you are located.

What Will You Win?
I will design you a customized 5-7 page website for your company or yourself for your land surveying business. You will get the following pages: Home, Contact, About Us, Services, Photos, Links/Resources, Social Network, and another page whatever you like. I will brand it to your preferences, colors and imagery and perform the necessary Search Engine Optimization in order to get you into the search engines. All you need to buy is the domain name and hosting. I'll do all the rest...

I'm setting my clock for the countdown and look forward to your entries!
Please send me a message on Neighbor Design's LSU profile if you have any questions about the contest.
