Surveyors Are United!  We are Stronger than Ever Before

I have a few announcements and some new cool things for you to check out over the weekend, but first, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our new members on Land Surveyors United.  We appreciate you joining us in our mission to bridge the gaps between surveyors and to strengthen the profession.  If you have not yet introduced yourself, please tell us a bit more about your relationship to surveying here.

INTRODUCE YOURSELF TO THE COMMUNITY

Survey Earth in a Day Website Facelift

We now have over 11,500 surveyors worldwide, compared to 8500 this time last year.  Our facebook page is exploding with over 44k followers contributing photos and advice, daily. If you do your part and submit a point during Survey Earth in a Day 6 (June 20th at Noon in Your Location), we can once and for all show the public the importance of land surveyors and hopefully convince then that they can't accurately find their property corners with their phones, among other things.   If you have not yet clicked "Going" on the RSVP, please do so.  This year, SEIAD happens on a Tuesday, which means ALL of you will be at work and should be able to take 10 minutes to submit a point to the community.  There is no greater thing you can do for your profession on the solstice, the longest day of the year.

You can also stream Live on June 20th to our Facebook Pages, if you reach out to us ahead of time so we can make you a Live Contributor to the page.  Write to landsurveyorsunited<at>gmail to let us know you'd like to be a live contributor with the subject: "I WANNA CONTRIBUTE LIVE SEIAD" and one of us will be in touch soon.

New Survey Earth in a Day Website

Our .ORG Gets a New Life

Last week, we got creative with our LANDSURVEYORSUNITED.ORG address.  Our Leaderboards have taken on a New Life over there.   You can now find all the top discussions, stories, photos and videos streaming there.  We are also building out a new and improved  Surveying Jobs Center, which will replace our Current Jobs Board.  If you are currently seeking employment, keep an eye on that development.  If you have jobs feeds you'd like for us to include, please submit them.

For Surveying Companies in Need of a Website

We are committed to helping you make the most of the web in your surveying adventures and goals.  If your company does not currently have a website or the site that you have needs a redesign or upgrade, let Justin know here in this short form.  There is no need for your company to not have a presence on the web which makes you money.  Justin will build something for you that works with your budget.  He has been building surveying company sites for over a decade.  Here is one of his latest creations:

You’re part of the future. Stop working in the past. Share Your Surveying Experience and Strengthen the Industry  everyday on Land Surveyors United.

Lots of exciting happenings in June to be excited about and I hope you all will do a little something special to highlight the surveying industry in your area of the world.  Spread the word about Survey Earth in a Day on your blogs and websites and let us know where to link to you on our Supporters Page.  You promote us and we promote you!

As always, our community is 100% funded through member donations.  So if you'd like to make a contribution to help with our overhead, please do so in any amount you can afford here.  We appreciate every penny.  We also appreciate your feedback and take it very seriously.

Have a nice Memorial Day Weekend if you are in the United States.  For those outside the states, have a terrific weekend as well.
