I have an old 5800 unit that does not have internal memory capabilities. I have collected static post processing data with a TSCe data collector. Is there a way to process the raw or job file from the TSCe to a dat file to upload to OPUS? If I had the t0# file from the 5800 I could download the dat file to be post processed. But without being able to record directly to the 5800 I am stuck. Unless there is way to process the raw, job, or maybe I am missing something. I know this is old equi

Watch how Tersus GPS RTK works on Arducopter in Loiter Mode. Great work from Michael Oborne and his Ardupilot Dev Team in Australia and thanks for the sharing.
Stay tuned. The latest Precis-BX316 RTK board which supports GPS L1L2/BDS B1B2/GLONASS G1G2 and with GPS L1L2 heading mode is coming soon. One of the spotlights is camera shuttle synchronization feature, which is the good news for aerial users. Want to get more? Drop us a line to [email protected].
hello friends, someone has the driver for the USB cable from the antenna Topcon GR-5 UHF II?
Shared Experience is Education for those new to the field. There are no shortages on complaints around the internet about newbies relying too much on tech. However, the veteran land surveyors are just now- for the first time in history- sharing and documenting their expertise from the field. Students and new surveyors simply have never been exposed to the methods and approaches to land surveying rooted in history. If you think you have nothing to contribute, consider
The CORS is an appealing way to do RTK due to its convenience and large coverage area. While Precis-BX305 (L1/L2 GPS RTK Receiver) currently does not support build-in NTRIP client feature, there is an alternative way to connect CORS network by employing external Bluetooth module and a cellphone. Check it out.

I just wanted to share a short but relevant story with you about my last day as a land surveyor.
After this day, I was destined to become an anthropologist. My mission has been evolving, focused more and more on bringing public awareness to importance of surveying as both an art and science.
Location of Tea Farm:
6617 Maybank Hwy, Wadmalaw Island, SC 29487Something i didn't mention was that it was nesting season in the tea farm- no one knew. The next day, they tried to get me to stay by

Our process for gathering the data from thousands of points around the earth in a single day has changed a bit over the years. This year we are going to try something different. Instead of waiting until Survey Earth in a Day to release the magic button/form for data submission, this year we are going to roll it out early and allow you to test the system and become familiar with the form so that there are no surprises on June 21st at Noon. We want to make this as quick and simple as possible.

Aloha gang,
I will give you a quick introduction:
My name is Tom Pattison. I am a licensed surveyor in 5 states. I have almost 20 years of experience in the field of surveying. With over 12,000 jobs completed and experience from Topography Surveys, Construction surveys, Alta surveys, Residential surveys... all the way to Flood and Shoreline Certificates performed on the Hawaiian Islands. Calculate new coordinates for a boundary in a forest. It is not possible to use GNSS. The approach is to traverse with a total station. The yellow points are unknown. For these points new coordinates have to be calculated.
I have the choice of using old measurements or measure a new traverse. What is the difference in accuracy. What do I gain with new measurement? Here the picture of the two equipments. For both choice I set an accuracy o
Land Surveyors Have a Bright Future
This is something that I keep telling myself. This is what my Dad (Skip Farrow) used to say whenever we hit a milestone with this community- and over the years, we hit a lot. I've been putting off writing this post for almost a year. It has simply been too difficult to write since my dad passed away last June. Nevertheless, this is hopefully going to be a happy post in celebration of the life of a man who loved surveying, enjoyed helping surveyors accompli
