Hello everyone,

Be aware that a survey truck and a lot of equipment was recently stolen in Folsom. Here is the message from R.E.Y. Engineering along with photos of the suspect:

"Survey community,

I hope you don't mind I am taking the time to send you this email but I think that it's important to come together in situations like this. Our company was robbed of two laser scanners, four total stations, four R10's, a level and a survey truck. All this totals to about $350,000 of survey equipment. Please be on the look out for the person in the images attached. Please be on the look out for any equipment thats for sale that could be stolen. If you recognize him or have any suspicions or information please contact the Folsom PD or the following:

"If you see this person please report it to REY HR (916-365-3762) Bob Huun (916-826-4974) or Folsom PD at (916-355-7230) and reference case number 17-4350.

Thank you all!

Also please share!

  • What were they doing with all that gear in one truck? Unlocked with the keys inside? LOL!! I mean I feel bad, definitely going to raise the insurance premiums but shit, employees are FIRED. Do they need some competent field crews at this firm? Might want to get a party chief thats not on the jobs smoking up while thiefs taking off with the truck. Either or even if it was parked at the office, whio didnt bring the gear inside? Some lazy knucklehead? You get what you pay for in the field, pay few more bucks an hour to get some help that gives a damn about the gear. Also what the hell were 4 R10s a (TWO) laser scanners etc etc doing in one truck! Unbelievable Id be outraged if I were the boss AT THE EMPLOYEES more than the thief's! WOW. Next time stick with Geomax Base and rover, around 10k NEW trimble waste of money anyway with same RTK Fix. 1/6th the cost for Geomax. Nedless to say 2 laser scanners in one truck lol whos fault is that? WOW!!
