Take Advantage of SECTION 179 TAX BENEFITS

Advanced Geomatics SurveysAdvanced Geodetic Surveys has put together a handy equipment cost calculator for you in order to help educate land surveyors on the tremendous savings that are available by purchasing equipment before December 31st.

About Section 179 Tax Incentive

Section 179 is a tax incentive created by the U.S. Government to encourage businesses to purchase equipment. It gives businesses the opportunity to deduct the FULL purchase price of qualifying new/used equipment and software bought and used during the tax year they were purchased or financed. The tax incentive encourages small businesses to invest in themselves and purchase equipment now.

The deduction is up to $1,000,000 for 2018, which means businesses can deduct the full cost of equipment from their 2018 taxes with a โ€œtotal equipment purchased for the yearโ€ threshold of $2,500,000. Most small and medium businesses will benefit by taking the deduction, but in order to qualify, the equipment must be purchased and put into service by 11:59pm, 12/31/2018.

For more details, please contact your tax professional. The calculator is only designed to give an estimate based on qualifying purchases made during the 2018 tax year.  If you would like to speak with a representative of Advanced Geodetic Surveys, look no further than the ever helpful Lucas Duda here on the network.  Reach out and ask questions.... by all means take advantage of this opportunity.
