I do a lot of work down in Miami so one day I have my total station setup on the sidewalk on the return of a intersection.I have the truck parked ten feet away well some guy pulled up jumped out and took the eqiupment while I was standing right there.They got off with it but I got there plates number .Then yesterday Im doing a job in Miami and some one took my gps while I was looking right at him .Everyone watch your equipment times are tough right now some the word is out to get survey equipment and do not leave your stuff unattended...

Yes, somebody needs to invent an alarm that attaches to instruments.
whoa..that's horrible! you should post a description and images in the Lost and Stolen Equipment group so that we can help you keep a look out..
