Surveyor Question ToolbarAs you can see by looking at the network, a lot of new improvements have been made over the past week. One of the exciting new additions is the Official Land Surveyors United Community Toolbar, which can be added to your browser by visiting this page on LSU. This toolbar sits at the top of your browser and will allow you to handle all sorts of tasks and keep up with discussions on the network without having to even visit the site!

Ok...So What Does this Toolbar Do?
I've been thinking long and hard about the types of tools that land surveyors need when surfing the internet for answers and have come up with a few tools that seem virtually necessary across the board. The Official Land Surveyors Toolbar will allow you to track the latest forum discussions and blog posts, keep up with your messages and comments and search the entire LSU network including document libraries right from your toolbar, no matter what site you are on.

How can I Personalize My Toolbar?
At the present time, there are quite a few personalizations you can make to your toolbar, such as weather for your area, email retrieval, facebook and twitter login, etc. In the very near future, you will have access to all of your LSU inbox, friends, photos and settings right from the toolbar, even when you are not logged on the actual site. Here is how you do this:

Where Do I get The Land Surveyors Toolbar?

Funny you should ask! There are two ways to download the Official Land Surveyors Toolbar.

First Method: Go to this page on the network and install it right from there.

Second Method: Go to http://landsurveyors.Toolbar.fm/ and install it there

There's an App for That

You'll notice that there are new buttons on various important pages around the network that look like the one below. That is an application which can be added to your toolbar at any time which allows you to take that information with you wherever you go.

Just click on an App and off you go! Stay tuned for updates as we make this new addition the most useful tool in a surveyor's internet tool-belt (i mean, bar). Send me any suggestions you might like to see added to the bar and enjoy having the social support of the world's brightest professional land surveyors with you, every where you go!
