Survey Technicians and/or Surveyors

Extensive travel. This position can require extended travel of up to 21 days in the field
Diverse background in planning, managing and training of survey tasks and capabilities
Develop the survey plan in accordance with the technical requirements of the project
Research daily PDOP spikes and weather forecasts
Coordination with the Field Operations team during the execution of the survey plan
Set-up, operation, and break down of GPS ground survey equipment
Process the GPS data and monitor the quality
Daily reporting on the survey field activities
Manage and supervise surveying operations using combined conventional and GPS survey methods
Operate a wide variety of GPS units, electronic total stations (ETS) and leveling equipment
Routine maintenance and troubleshooting of GPS ground survey equipment
Participate in the quality management system, by working to document processes and procedures, plus offering recommendations on improvement opportunities

Qualifications:

University degree or college diploma, related to the Geomatics industry
Experience within a field operations environment, utilizing GPS survey techniques
Experience with GPS, GIS and CAD software packages
Experience with Microsoft Office products
Valid drivers license with clean driver`s abstract
