Land Surveyor

My problem is that I have a new TSC3 and can't get it to connect to the Win 10 PC. The PC is fully up to date with patches, and still can't get the PC to recognise the controller.

  • Trimble Controller TS3 and Windows 10 connectionI have tried turning off the virus and malware protections
  • Downloaded Windows Mobile Device Centre (I know it's for earlier Version but I'm grasping)

Also, Trimble link in Civil 3d can't find the device.

Any suggestions would be very welcome.

 Thanks

Ian

I too am having same trouble with TSC3 and Windows 10 in Cornwall, (presume its not only Cornwall, but some emmet may have introduced a virus!)

I've tried everything here, and Korec support (who don't have the problem - nor heard of it) are trying to fathom it out.  I did the workaround in services, but only works once, when you reboot laptop you have to do it again.

Just tried the registry hack, so will have fingers crossed on Tuesday that it works.

USB stick works every time, so its not impossible to get date/ upload data, but i like office syncroniser, which was seamless.

    Good luck!

Thanks Dave, being half Cornish I understand your suspicions. :)

I fixed my issue by rolling back the workstation to an earlier update state, previously I was fully up to date with all the latest patches.

All now works like it should with no reg hacks or manual changes to services, but I guess I'm not now fully patched.

      I guess that's the trade-off

      Cheers

    Is that correct?

just upgrade your TSC3 firmware to 3.0.3

    • How do you install a firmware update when you cannot connect the controller?

  • Land Surveyor

I had the same problem with windows 10 and a TCU. Then I had to workaround the issue with the installation of a newer version of windows sync center. Somehow it worked but then I had 2 activesync versions in the same machine...

Trimble link was useless after the windows 10 upgrade. Can´t say why but we're talking about windows, an ocult science.

I never worked with TSC3 but can you make windows see the controller as an external device, as a pendrive?

just upgrade your TSC3 firmware to 3

The workaround has made me able to see the controller as an external drive now, but now Trimble Link won't connect to it.

      Frustrating

      Thanks

you should be able to copy and paste files in out...( Windows)

and convert them on the PC to Field Book File for Civil...
