  Since our license concerns primarily the original positions of previously set boundaries, then one might say the closer ones age is to the actual monumentation, then perhaps the more reliable they are.

  I think quitting at age 65 years is cool. Due to the physical demanding nature of surveying

  Surveying is a physically demanding profession if you want to be a hands on surveyor. Even when you take a backseat and only deal at a senior or managerial role, you have to visit sites. I think 70 years is a good stretch, I mean 70 years of age and not of practice :-D.

  Former NSPS President John Matonich always opened a meeting with "It's a great day to be a SURVEYOR!"

  I agree, and with that in mind, the best age to be a practicing surveyor is now, the ever present present.
