Fellow Surveyors,
I'm looking for any piece of freeware software that can perform simple traverse adjustments (Bowditch/compass etc.) - no need for Least Squares. I have Excel spreadsheets that can do the trick, but would like something automated that I could import an ASCII file or something similar.
Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

You might like to try FreeCOGO (freeware).
Two versions:-
FreeCOGO - Whole circle bearings - Eastings precede northings.

FreeCOGO_Quadrant - Quadrant bearings - Northings Precede eastings
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3449356/FreeCOGO_Quadrant.zip
Both versions contain an Import Traverse routine which reads a CSV or comma-separated text file and carries out an optional Bowditch adjustment if the traverse closes to the start or other defined point.
