Hp 50g and software

Does anyone know anything about the HP 50G and COGO software ? If so I will take suggestions, I do not need data collection. I just want a good solid COGO software my HP 41 finally gave it up after 31 years of use and I need a replacement.

  • THIS IS SORT OF A REAL OLD POST BUT I USE D'Zign. It is more powerful than the HP 41 but less user friendly. I would give it up in a heartbeat to get my HP 41 back. The head surveyor for our state geodetic survey says he still uses his HP 41.

    • I just saw Jan's post. I am no expert on the 50 G's math functions but have you looked at the different operation modes? I can enter degrees minutes & seconds. Everything after the decimal point is minutes & seconds. I'm thinking this is either the mode or the D'Zign software. No problem with trig. calculations.

      • Hi Jansen

I hope tou got help with your Hp50g cogo software.  If not send me an email to [email protected]. I will send you a few softwares that you might use. They work very well with mine.

Thanks Barry for the software. However I have some problems trying to solve trig problems as I am unable to key in degree minutes and seconds. Tried googling but results are not very useful.

        Cheers,

        Jan
