Where are you surveying?

Hi, I handle the setting out for a residential ground works firm and we recently swapped from topcon to Ā leica ts06+ kit set.

We never got our promised training but I've managed to teach myself how to use all of it bar one thing, the prism. We stick it on the tripod, and we get an inverted image through the plummit where its impossible to focus both the image and the black target together. Is this normal? I can barely get it within 5mm and that isn't an unacceptable level of accuracy for me (coming from a now broken topcon prism/tribrach with non mirrored perfect clarity).

Also we've had some water getting in the screen (damp patch on the inside of the screen) after just half an hour in the rain, is this normal? Its only two months old, and its not boxed or left in the van in damp conditions
