Student Surveyor

Hi guys,

My company is looking to improve on its workflow for topographical surveys. We have been using a software called geotopo for a long while already. Its very rudimentary and now quite obsolete.

Would like to know what others are using now for their data processing and how do you go about processing your data. Hopefully we can learn and share from everybody's experience.

Cheers,

Jan

      Hi Chamara,

Currently I have to use different softwares to produce a topographical plan. The first software is to convert the codes into autocad blocks and layers. After this I have another software to provide the contours of the survey and finally I will use autocad to bring them altogether and also to join the lines, and apply the finishing touches.

I would like to find faster and more efficient way of doing things where maybe there is a software for field to finish.

My deliverables are required to be in dwg format.

      • Hi Jan

AutoCAD Civil 3D is the best software to field to finished as for as I am concern.Check out Autodesk website to more detail."Dwg" is the default format in Civil 3D also.

        Cheers,

        Prasanna
