Greetings!! I am "new" to the forum. If anyone can help me figure out the Traverse Adjustment program on the Topcon TESLA would be great! I have only gotten it to work once, but not sure what "magic" button I inadvertently must have pushed to get it to work. For some reason my close out point does not make it to the list of points so the adjustment won't work. When I try to add closing point from the points file it says it is "invisible". Anybody know or have experienced this problem?

  • Hi There,

Hopefully by now you have figured this out, but just in case......

When you are doing a traverse in Magnet field you will need to store your closing point as a check shot..., what does this means?...

let say that you OCC1 BS2 FS3, then you move forward to 3 so OCC3 BS1 FS4, then you move again to 4 so OCC4 BS3 FS2 in this example you are closing the traverse on 2 your first BS, so instead of storing the shot as number 5 you must type 2 and then the software will prompt you with a message... DO want to over-right, store as next available or store as a check shot..... you will need to select Store as a Check Shot this will flag the point and will be recognized later on on the software to be used to close the traverse, OK but closing on first BS does not create a a closed traverse as the full sense of the word but is more like a closing a link traverse, for a true close traverse and to be able to calculate any angles misclosure you must OCC2 BS4 FS1, and store 1 as a CHECK SHOT, this way you would also get the angular closure of your traverse, onces you have done this field procedure, go to Calculate> Traverse> ADJ> and enter begging point and end point in closed traverses is the same, and then the software will create a new job with the corrected XYZ for the points, you would also get the option to store a report.

    I hope this helps.

     Happy Surveying!,

    ~J

I do not know anything about that program. You could try Geolab.
