Land Surveyor
I am at a class this morning given by Gary Gilley concerning the recent changes to Board rules.Very good turnout here with about 250 Land Surveyors. Discussion is lively. I myself have some concerns about the rules change and it is an interesting class so far.

Saw Eric Colburn a member of Landsurveyorsunited.com last night along with some of his buddies who are peddling a new technology. I swung by their booth today and this is really a neat new tool they have developed. It is called Datumate and promises to replace expensive scanners and software with a normal digital camera. It is really a revolutionary and game changing technology.

Had a great talk with a buddy of mine who is the chief surveyor at Garland Texas. Ethics similar was fabulous. I went to the Lucas si inar to heckle but it was so bad, boring and full of misconceptions nobody seemed to be listening. There seemed no point so I left without confronting Lucas with his hypocrisy.

150 Surveyors here at the Ethics seminar. Lively discussion, the speaker is engaging and interesting. Hoping to go to the Jeffery Lucas presentation later today and heckle him.

At the Ethics for the Profession Surveyor this morning with Dennis Mouland. Looks like a really good sized crowd gathering again this morning.

Very moving and funny ceremonies here as the old officers are replaced by the new. I have to say that the out going President has put together quite a convention and the incoming President promises to do even better so I am looking forward to next year.

At the costume ball and awards ceremony. It is a very nice party and some very deserving Land Surveyors getting some awards.

Well I have been to the exhibits hall and sen all of the great new toys available for Land Surveying. I even saw a drone they are pedaling for performing aerial surveys with.

Saw a bunch of old surveying buddies of mine and caught up with a few of them. Taking a break long enough to drop off a bunch of free junk they were giving away at the hotel room and then I am going back.

Many of the rules have changed and some of the changes I do not particularly like. I have read the new rules but I need to sit down and study them closely. Lots of great discussion.
