Hi everybody,

I am Ravi Shankar  from India. 

India

For the past 9 years I am doing survey and mapping related projects in India and Middle East. Prior to 2009 I was working as a GIS engineer in Intergraph, (Alabama state, USA).  

I lead a team of surveyors and guide them in different survey and mapping projects. We use DGPS, Leveling instruments, Total station, and mapping/drafting software such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD etc. We also use drone for photogrammetric surveys.

I am looking forward to learn more from the surveying community and share my experiences .

      I am currently doing projects related to Transmission line survey, Railway Alignment survey, and cadastral mapping.

      I started a discussion on the Railway Alignment design and survey procedure. Please do share your comments.

Our forums on Land Surveyors United are here to be used as much for finding help with problems in the field as the are for you to express your opinions on anything that has to do with land surveying in general.
