Where are you surveying?

HP Plotter

I had a problem with my HP 500 DesignJet plotter last week and as you may know HP doesn't support this plotter anymore.Ā  The machine has been a workhorse in our office for many years.Ā  I searched several surveyors forums for a supplier of parts and had no luck.Ā  I did however find a company in San Diego CA who not only has parts but has posted video on how to replace these parts.Ā  They have parts for many HP plotters.Ā  This made what was anticipated to be a major problem aĀ fairly easy fix.Ā  I had almost come to the conclusion that I might need to spend $ 5,000 + on a new plotter and ended up spending $ 100.00 on parts.Ā  Life is good this week.Ā  The following is a link to their site.Ā  http://www.lpscomputer.com/

I have a similar problem. The machine I was using crashed and I can't find a driver for my old hP plotter in a 64 bit machine.
