  • Hi Robert, and Everyone else,

I forgot to mention that Hp did have a program at their website, HP .com , were a student or a teacher could get a HP 33s Emulator. NO one else. You have to fill out a App. and submit it and get approved . So someone wanting to do this and needing this for school and you teachers go to HP .com and look under their Educators programs to get this calculator. They also have a HP prime loan program ( 6 cals.) for teachers that has other teachers aids with them.

  • Hi Robert and all you HP 33 s user's,

Here is some more HP 33 Programs from MN/DOT I have a lot more, but they are copyright protected

and have not been released by permission yet by the author . But these have.

  • Hi Robert,

Yes i have, I just told Seth about the HP50 G, if he could not get the HP 48 GX to transfer.

The HP 50 G comes from the original HP 48 G or GX. The HP 48 GII, the 49,49 +plus and the HP 50 G all started with the 48. All these use RPLisp. (RPL) or RPL user programming. This is a excellent calculator, it and the Prime use the same processor . It use a SD card for removable  memory or extra memory, a 1 GB or 2 GB cards work with it. The Gx could be used as a Data Collector, like the G these can not but it can work like a Cogo  program as same as a DC, Job files and cogo math with point numbers and all the math that a DC does. It just can not hook up to a instrument. But files can be transfered import and export.  It has been said this is the most advance calculator in the World.

It is right up there with the Prime.  That is why this price is great, this is half price. Jacob Wall of  SGS sales software for it and D'Zign does also. Jacob has a free program and sells two others. His  Pro program will do a lot and also will transfer files to your PC the free one does not. These work very similar to TDS with menu's and pages i have the free one it works great. I like it because it is like TDS.

Both it and the Prime sold for the same price a few months ago. If you like to try a Emulator 50 G, you can get one with 4 other calculators from Jacob site plus his free program Cogo Lite or LT.all of this is free and at the same site. Three of the calculators will load this program, the 50,49+ and 49. If you like or you can just use the 50. This also comes with a HP 48 GX. if you never use one here is your chance. The calculators are from Debug4x,they are  a package. You will also need a calculator manual, this i can find or you can. I will give you a link to Jacob site SGS and I go over how to do this in one of my Discussion at this site. It is in detail how to do this. I can also help if needed. You can read at his site how all this works and what it will do. A used HP48 GX with TDS PRO with a Ram card cost over 800 to 1200 dollars on ebay the 48 cost 150 to 300 to 500 just by it self and they want 900 dollars for the cards by themselves. that is used. Just look thru my discussion and you will find how to do the calculator

then con't to you find how to do the program, read both before you try.

Thanks a Bunch for sharing that info billy ! very informative and helpful !! thanks again  !

  • Hi Robert,

Glad to see some one showing Hp Programs. I own 2 Hp33s and they have been put to the test. They have never gave me any problems. Hp  discontinued them a few years ago and now only makes the HP 35s .The two calculators are alike in some ways but in others they are very different. One is in keys the other is in memory. Some Hp 33 s programs will work on the Hp 35s without changing anything, others will not. The Hp 35 s does not have Polar to Rectangular or vice versa keys so this will alter the program language and the line numbers. By this subroutines have to be written and inserted into program lines to replace these missing keys this will change all the GTO instructions. If you have a simple program, one that stand alone this is no problem to change. But in a case of complex  or programs in a PAC , that work with each other  and also have utility programs alone with these ,this can cause a whole rewrite of the complete program collection. In this PAC all these programs must be included for each one to work. This is like one big program so if you change one line you will have a paradox effect, somewhere down the line something will go wrong. Although they can be rewrote for the HP 35s but it would change a lot of program lines. That being said, this is still a nice collection of HP 33s Pack programs.I will add them to mine already a large collection but i have never seen these and this is good you added them to this site's list of calculator programs. I do not know if the NCEES will still included the HP 33s for 2017 there has been some talk to remove it but maybe not.

It is still a good calculator and has been allow on the test for many years.

    bb   and Thanks again

Yea... Right on, I'm still one of those calculator old school guys, i have one 33 s i enjoy using, but just recently bought 2 of the 35's and  started programming them .. sure miss the days of 11C and 32s2 those were great designs too from hp .....

      • Hi Robert,

Glad to here you are a calculator Surveyor. I preach to much on using one.

with all the high tech gadgets,  I still want mine with me.I have a lot of programs and equations on my discussions at this site and at others. I have showed more than a 100 programs on the HP 35s alone and still have plenty more i have not showed yet. And the equations i lost count, Both 33 and 35 are good at them and easy to write. I do not know what Hp has planned ,but i have read about a new 4 level stack display for a RPN calculator like the HP 35s showing TZYX maybe it will happen maybe not. The cost and the sale price will play at that. Hp is trying to promote the Prime more than anything. But it can not be used on the NCEES test, so maybe they will come out with a new RPN calculator. There is not much  more you can do to a calculator and keep it on that test level. the more i use my 35 the more i like it. If they had just kept those two little keys and maybe they just might come back on the new one. You can not never tell with HP.

I still have a 11C and a 32s, but check these out I been thinking about getting there 41 CX. or a 11 C ,do not know why because i still have both of them. It's just a thought.
