Survey Legend

This is a cool new thing on the network that I have been playing around with, getting ready for International  Surveyors Week 2012 and Survey Earth in a Day.  Did you know that you can now upload photos from the field right inside the Land Surveyors United Mobile Interface?  You can and its simple.  I'm going to show you how to do it, so that you can share a photo of your setup on June 20th and every other day of the year.

NOTE: And in case you didn't know, there will be a simultaneous Photo Contest occurring on Survey Earth in a Day, so try to send in photos of your setup, so that we can have a community pool of surveyors around the world.

How To Upload Photos and Videos from Your Phone to LSU

Step One:  Head over to the Mobile Interface on your phone and Visit the GEOPhotos Page inside the navigation on the right.

Upload your surveying photos from the field using mobile interface

Step Two:  Click on the (+) Button and [Browse]your phone to find the photo you would like to upload to your account on the network.

Step Three:  Add a eye catching and descriptive title as it will be what everyone sees when deciding which photos they would like to look at on the network.  Then add a description which tells us about whats going on in the photo and where the photo was taken.

Send in those photos surveyors!  We wanna see where you work!  Looking forward to learning about all of you on June 20th, as geospatial professionals around the globe change the world, together!

We are committed to allowing freedom of expression for all of our members, and that includes maintaining a safe space for people with opposing views to express themselves. We get posts from all over the country and even the globe, so needless to say, people come with different viewpoints on lad surveying practices and processes. We see this diversity and variety as a real strength-- dialogue and debate are an integral part of the educational process, as well as an important tool in exploring different sides of complex issues.

All Community Hubs inside the community have their own forum for asking specific questions to other surveyors, by location, equipment type, etc.
