Show us why the public should always call a land surveyor

Where are you surveying?

Hello all

Hello all. I'm new to the site and thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Chris Root, I've surveyed in central Florida for 15 years, and then recently one year in the Dallas area of Texas. I will be moving back to my old house in Florida by March, (due to the economy, it never sold), and I will be also be unemployed since I will have to leave a lucrative job in Tx. Moving here to Tx. was an experience I don't want to repeat, so I wont be moving out of Florida again.

My wife found this site through searching Facebook for "Ways to find a Surveying job", so hopefully aside from the great advice I find on here, it will also be helpful in finding me a job in central Florida.

If there are stories to be told on here, I'm as full of them as any surveyor :) I have had one of my stories published by Professional Surveyor Magazine about Animal Encounters in the Gigglebyte column a few years back, you can find it Here if you're interested. And I have many more.

We are committed to allowing freedom of expression for all of our members, and that includes maintaining a safe space for people with opposing views to express themselves. We get posts from all over the country and even the globe, so needless to say, people come with different viewpoints on lad surveying practices and processes. We see this diversity and variety as a real strength-- dialogue and debate are an integral part of the educational process, as well as an important tool in exploring different sides of complex issues.

All Community Hubs inside the community have their own forum for asking specific questions to other surveyors, by location, equipment type, etc.
