IVAN, SEVERAL YEARS BACK i HAD A PROJECT OUT IN THE OCEAN WHERE THERE WAS NO POWER, BUT HAD TO KEEP GPS UNITS RUNNING 24/7...SO I PURCHASE THE GEAR TO RIG UP SOLAR POWER. TURNED OUT TO BE A PERFECT SOLUTION.

i PURCHASED A 18 x 24 5 OR 10 WATT PANEL, A GOLF CART BATTERY, A POWER INVERTER, AND A PLASTIC OR RUBBER MADE CONTAINER. YOU SECURE THE BATTERY, INVERTER, AND BATTERY CHARGERS INSIDE THE CONTAINER, RUN THE CABLE OUT THE SPOUT, OR MAKE A HOLE (BE SURE TO SEAL THAT HOLE) AND LEAVE YOU ENOUGH CABLE TO RUN THE PANEL TO THE TOP OF YOUR TRUCK, OR JOB TRAILER. everything will be waterproof

THE BATTERY RUNS THE INVERTED POWER TO CHARGE THE BATTERY, THE SOLAR PANEL ONLY REPLENISHES THE BATTERY, IF YOU LIKE THIS IDEA i CAN FORWARD THE NAME OF THE MFG OF THE SOLAR PANEL TO YOU..i'M STILL RIGGING UP SOLAR STUFF. TOTAL COST AROUND $200
