In your words "...but then it will drop the signal after..." ,

what signal are you referring to? Is it the bluetooth connection?

Well, I think it's the BT connection between the Survey controller and the base receiver which is disconnected.

I used to do it this way -

    1.  After the base has been successfully started , click the Disconnect button. If you missed this step, your TSC2 will continue to communicate with the Base Receiver wherever you go.

    2.  Next, make sure the connection between the TSC2 and the ROVER receiver is OK either via BT or the cable interface.

    3.  Finally, start the rover survey by clicking Survey Menu, followed by the name you gave for your "Survey style" , followed by clicking Start survey or the Measure points menu.

The connection using the cable is more reliable than a connection using the bluetooth , thus,  I'd rather work on the cable rather than the Bluetooth if I were you.

Have you tried going to the Control Panel and try to turn the bluetooth ON?

I would get it checked by a authorized Trimble Repair Center, if you are still having problems, you can call me at 210-490-4604 Monday thru Friday 8:00 to 5:00.  I need more information about what you mean when you say won't stay on.   Stan Denison

  • I have a document down loaded from Trimble's web site which suggests "...you can speed up the automatic connection time by clearing the check box for the instrument type(s) you do not connect to."  Would be the first thing I'd check in the TSC2 if you are switching among instruments...I think each instrument has a unique identifier setting to recognize in communicating with a particular TSC2 controller.
