Set up the Trimble 4000 SSI GPS

A Guide for Setting Up Trimble 4000 SSI GPS equipment -Use Tool Here
The Trimble 4000 SSI will have to be carefully set up for GPS surveying. It consists of a number of parts which have to be assembled in the correct order and in the correct way. See if you can set up the 4000 SSI using this applet.

Follow the instructions below to assist you with your Trimble 4000 SSI GPS Assembly.

***** Assemble the TRIMBLE 4000 SSI GPS *****

1. You will set up the Trimble 4000 SSI over the survey station SSM 1.

2. The applet area consists of a main area to the
left called the ASSEMBLY AREA in which you will
assemble the equipment and a scrollable area to
the right from which you can view the INVENTORY
of equipment and *actions.
*An action is some event or manipulation
you may perform to a piece of equipment.

3. Scroll the INVENTORY at right and check the
available equipment and actions.

4. To bring an item into the assembly area click
the ring with the same label as the item
required.

5. Each step represents a new piece of equipment
OR an action to the equipment already in the
assembly area. An item may be required
from zero to many times.

6. Drag the ring to the correct position on
the assembly area. If the operation is correct
you will automatically proceed.

7. If the prompt appears you
will need to make a decision from the
"Part elements" choose box.
Then click "OK" on the pop-up dialogue box.

8. If a cross appears near the ring you have
selected the wrong item OR incorrectly located
the correct item. Place the cursor over the
ring to reveal a hint.

9. To undo an error, move the ring to the correct
position or click "Undo Error", then retry.
