With the exciting introduction of Land Surveyors University to the network, there may come a time in the near future when you will find yourself in need of a way to convert video formats before uploading them to the network.  And for purposes of clarity there are quite a few acceptable formats which can be uploaded to Land Surveyors United platform. You can add up to 30 videos at a time, and each video may be up to 100MB in size. We support videos in the .mov, .mp4, .mpg, .avi, .wmv, .3gp, and .3g2 file formats.  However, if your camera or phone spits out some other screwy video file format, here are a few free tools that you can use to convert your movies to a filetype that LSU will accept.

Upload Videos From the Field to Your Profile using Your Phone

We've explained once before how surveyors can easily upload their videos from the field using a cellphone.  If you choose to go this route, after you upload your video using the email address from your phone, it will be sitting in the videos on the network for you to go back and edit to perfection, adding subject tags, location, a detailed description of your evidence and a catchy title.
