Can you tell me about your experience as an Instrument Technician? Justin Farrow: Good morning, Phil. Thank you for inviting me. I have been working as an Instrument Technician for the past 10 years. In my previous position, I was responsible for maintaining and repairing surveying equipment, including total stations and GPS systems. I have experience with both mechanical and electronic instruments. Phil Fedor: That's great to hear. Can you tell me about a challenging project you worked on and how you overcame any obstacles? Justin Farrow: Sure. One of the most challenging projects I worked on was a large-scale construction project that required the use of multiple total stations and GPS systems. We had to coordinate with other teams and make sure all the equipment was synced and working properly. One obstacle we faced was a sudden power outage that caused all the equipment to shut down. We quickly worked together to get backup power and were able to resume work within an hour. Phil Fedor: Impressive. How do you stay up to date with the latest technology and advancements in your field? Justin Farrow: I attend industry conferences and read industry publications to stay informed on the latest advancements. I also network with other professionals in the field and participate in online forums to discuss new technology and techniques. Phil Fedor: Great to hear. How do you prioritize your workload and manage your time effectively? Justin Farrow: I prioritize my workload by assessing the urgency and importance of each task. I also make sure to communicate with my team members and supervisors to ensure everyone is on the same page. I use time management tools such as calendars and to-do lists to keep track of my tasks and deadlines. Phil Fedor: Lastly, can you tell me why you're interested in working for ABC Land Surveying Company? Justin Farrow: I am interested in working for ABC Land Surveying Company because of its reputation in the industry for high-quality work and its commitment to using the latest technology and techniques.
