Day 1 of the challenge is the easiest: All you have to do is get signed up with ChatGPT.
It’s free, it uses GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer), which is what many paid AI softwares are built on, and it’s more flexible than those paid softwares.
It’s easy to sign up for and you don’t have to enter credit card info for a trial or anything like that. It should take a minute or less to sign up. This gives you access to ChatGPT 3.0 and 3.5 and that is completely free.
ChatGPT 3 and 3.5 do not have the ability to query real time information using the internet and everything it responds with will be information gathered before November 2021. It is incredible for writing and rewriting documents and finding general information on anything.
Just be sure to have your phone by you to confirm your registration. At that point you are ready to start playing with AI. Ask it some questions and see what you get. In future posts, we will show you how to specifically ask for things in ways that encourages the AI to respond with exactly what you are looking for.
ChatGPT 4 (aka ChatGPT Plus) has access to real time information but the only difference is it costs $20/m. If you decide to upgrade to ChatGPT Plus, which will give you access to the latest version of ChatGPT, GPT-4, you can easily do it once you log in to your free account.
All you need is the free account to get started.

Something I think you should emphasize in this and all following articles is that ALL of the large language models (ChatGPT 3.5, ChatGPT 4, Google BARD, Claude, etc.) are really BAD at knowing when they don't know something. This gives them a tendency to "hallucinate", a.k.a. make stuff up completely. That's bad, but to make matters worse, they explain their incorrect answers in a confident and erudite way so that YOU can't tell when they're making stuff up.
