This is a question which seems to come up quite a bit

Nikon DTM-A series A5/A10/A20

  1. Press the (ANG) key while powering on the unit.
  2. {Tilt Telescope} will appear (index telescope)
  3. VA: 359.0?} will appear on the display (precisely sight target in face 1) 90 deg. side
  4. Press the (1) key to execute angle measurement.
  5. {V2: 180.?}will appear on the display (precisely sight target in face 2) 270deg.side
  6. Press the (1) key to execute angle measurement.
  7. Adjustment is complete.
Nikon DTM-400 series 410/420/430/450
Nikon DTM-300 series 300/310
  1. Power the unit on and index telescope. Normal operation mode.
  2. Press the (FNC) key, then press the (REC) key to enter adjustment mode.
  3. {Vr: 00.?} will appear on the display (precisely sight target in face 1) 90 deg. side
  4. Press (ENT) key to execute measurement.
  5. {Vl: 179.?}will appear on the display (precisely sight target in face 2) 270deg.side
  6. Press (ENT) key to execute measurement.
  7. Adjustment is complete. This procedure also adjust the run center of the tilt sensors
Nikon C100 and D50
  1. Press the (TRK) and (HOLD) key while powering up the unit.
  2. {Tilt Telescope} will appear (index telescope)
    {AC: 0.0---?? } current correction value.
  3. {V1: 90.?} will appear on the display (precisely sight target in face 1) 90 deg. side
  4. Press {ENT} (HOLD) key to execute measurement.
  5. {V2: 270.?}will appear on the display (precisely sight target in face 2) 270deg.side
  6. Press {ENT} (HOLD) key to execute measurement.
  7. {DIF 0.00.??} new value {AC: 0.00.??}
  8. Press {ENT} (HOLD) key to store new correction
  9. Adjustment is complete.

    Nikon DTM-500 series 520/530/550

  1. Power unit on and have in normal operation mode.
  2. Press the (MENU) key.
  3. Press the (#7) key Collimation program.
  4. {VR: 90.? } will appear on the display (precisely sight target in face 1) 90 deg. side
    {HR.00.? }horizontal value {XR 03”} tilt values {YR 01”} example values
  5. Press (ENT) key to execute measurement.
  6. {VL: 270.?}will appear on the display (precisely sight target in face 2) 270deg.side
    {HR:180.?}horizontal value {XR 02”} tilt values {YR 01”} example values
  7. Press {OK} (ENT) key to execute measurement.
  8. Adjustment is complete.
  • This Collimation procedure for this instrument will adjust the
  • Tilt sensors run center and set a software correction for the
  • Double centering of the reticule.
